APARTMENT BLOCK

About

Modern architecture and design surrounded by UNESCO heritage

PROJECT BRIEF

This project involved the building design of an apartment block on Miera Street in Riga, Latvia. The primary architectural challenge was not merely to create a multifunctional space but to seamlessly integrate it into the existing urban landscape.

PROJECT DETAILS

The apartment block design incorporates both social and private elements, with retail and office spaces on the ground floor and residential apartments on the upper levels. Our architects have crafted this collective housing complex as a stylish and minimalist structure that complements the protected hotel, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, in the vicinity. The project’s architecture respects the area’s historical appearance while bringing it up to date.

PROJECT OUTCOMES

The new apartment block in Riga serves as an outstanding example of contemporary architecture within the old city. The interplay and synergy between different structures, both old and new, evoke a dance, resulting in an intriguing and distinctive ensemble.
