Project Brief
In connection with the trend of sustainable development in architecture, the main idea of this municipal building renovation design project is to increase the energy efficiency of the Daugavpils Municipal Authority’s Culture Palace building, located at 92 Smilšu Street, Daugavpils and reduce primary energy consumption.
Project Details
According to our municipal building designers, the following work was done: insulation of the facade and roof of the building, finishing with fiber cement panels, installation of new windows, exterior doors and glazed showcases, installation of ventilation, heating and cooling systems, reconstruction of interior lighting and repair of interior decoration.
Project Outcomes
Among the services of our specialists was to increase the fire safety of the building by reconstructing the evacuation routes in accordance with modern requirements. Based on the client’s requirements, designer supervision was provided during the construction work.
Our architects and engineers also developed a detailed solution for the landscaping of the adjoining territory. However, due to limited funding, this has not yet been implemented.
