Construction supervision experts appointed by “REM PRO” LLC were in charge of supervision over the construction of a railway track at the site “Reconstruction of Daugavas Street (stretch from the Vienibas Bridge to the crossroads of Daugavas and Valnu streets” in Daugavpils) during the construction of a pedestrian tunnel. Before the reconstruction, the area beneath the railway tracks used to be a problem in terms of traffic for both pedestrians and bicyclists, as there was simply no sidewalk under the tracks. This was definitely a safety concern, as the traffic at this stretch is intense. Implementation of the construction project on Vidzemes Street allowed for the construction of the first pedestrian railway crossing tunnel in Daugavpils.
