Having not only high historical, but also practical value, Nicholas Street in the Daugavpils Fortress connects the Nicholas Gate with the main square. Realizing the importance of preserving the authenticity of the area, the Nikolai Street restoration design project was developed based on historical materials, photographic evidence and historical research.
Project Details
After a thorough study of the territory, the Nikolai street restoration provides for the renovation of the historical pavement of the street, the construction of ditches with small bridges and the reconstruction of two buildings.
Project Outcomes
With the help of the efforts of our architects, the Nikolai street restoration design represents the renovated facades of buildings and the road, while the project keeps its historical value. Thus, this important territory for the city will be able to serve and delight the residents of Daugavpils for a long time.
